QUESTION: The machine is working hard when I use the R/T and at high speed the external valves self-close. ANSWER: The feeder's (PPC valve) end level might be too high, see 3b-3d The feeder’s end level: rotation in "Getting started with the RT Controller" and try to set the levels lower then the last time. If the problem continues, try and raise the end level for the external valves. See "RTC User Manual" Ch. 7.6 End Levels. |

QUESTION: I get full speed on the R/T before I reach the end position on the roller. ANSWER: The feeder's (PPC valve) end level is set too high, see 3b-3d "The feeder’s end level: rotation" in Getting started with the RT Controller and try to set the levels lower. |

QUESTION: Rotor/tilt/grapple goes faster when several functions are run simultaneously. ANSWER: The feeder’s end level is set too low, see step 3a The feeder’s start level in this instruction and try to set the levels higher than you did the last time. |

QUESTION: Rotor/tilt/grip goes slower when several functions are ran simultaneously. ANSWER: The feeder’s max level might be set too low. See the RT user manual page 53 ch. 7.4 Feeder’s max level in the RT user manual and increase the max level slightly. |

QUESTION: R/T/grapple is too slow, which has to do with the feeder's end level for this function have too low settings (see 3b-d in "Getting started with the RT Controller"). When I try to increase the end levels over a certain level, it won’t accept the values for the. ANSWER: You can never set an end level higher that a max level. Try to increase the feeder's max level a little bit and then increase the feeder's end level. See also RTC User Manual ch. 7.4 Feeder max level. |

QUESTION: My rotor/tilt/grip is twitchy or vibrates at a certain position on the roller and I’m certain I set the start and end levels correctly. ANSWER: The magnets on the valves can be more sensitive than usual, lower the ripple amplitude from 45 to 20. See the RTC User Manual page 80 ch. 9.19 Ripple. |

QUESTION: I have read your instructions carefully, set the start and end levels accordingly, but the rotor/tilt still doesn’t move as fast as I want it to. ANSWER: Your machine might have a slightly higher servo pressure than what’s common and you therefore need a stronger feeder. The usual feeder’s are 20bar, but there are also 32bar feeder’s which often solves this problem. Call SVAB for more information or for ordering. You can reach our Sales Dept. at +46 582 152 30, choose " 1 " in the switchboard. |

QUESTION: My rotor/tilt starts with a powerful jerk. ANSWER: Your external valves start levels are probably set too low. Try increasing them some. See step 4. "Start levels for the external valves" in Getting started with the RT Controller. The feeder’s start level might also be set too high. Try lowering it some. See step 3a "The feeder’s start level" in Getting started with the RT Controller. |

QUESTION: The rotor stops with a jerk when I let go of the roller. ANSWER: Check the oil pressure to the rotor/tilt, this should never be above 230 bar. |

QUESTION: My machine sounds very strained when I use the rotor/tilt/grip slowly. ANSWER: Increase the start level of the external valves for the specific function. See 4. "Start levels for the external valves" in Getting started with the RT Controller. |

QUESTION: How do I change places between to functions? ANSWER: One way to solve this is to shift the control input signal (+ or -) to the functions i the meny Logic --> Functions. e.g. If F1 is controlled by Ax1+ and F2 is controlled by Ax5+, then you first go in under F1, remove + by Ax1 and put instead a + by Ax5. Then go in under F2, remove + by Ax5 and instead put + by Ax1. See the appropriate manual for more information. |

QUESTION: What's the difference between double and single checkmarks in out put programing? ANSWER: A single checkmark makes a function or input signal always control an output. By setting a checkmark under P or N, then the out put can be controlled in different ways in the by with Programming mode alternatively Normal mode. A common example is when one uses the GP Controller for track steering for an excavator. In Normal mode both tracks are steered, in Programming mode only one track at a time. |

QUESTION: Rotor and tilt are too slow. What do I do? ANSWER: You need to raise the the feeder's end levels. Go to the Main Menu -> Feeder setting -> End level. Choose the function by using the roller for rotor/tilt in the grip for and then use the roller to choose the right speed. |

QUESTION: I've tried increasing feeder settings end levels, but I can't be increase it as much as I'd like. ANSWER: Then your Max level is probably too low. Try increasing Max level under Feeder settings. Note that you can NOT just increase the end level, but should increase it in smaller intervals. |

QUESTION: : The Rotor/tilt starts with a jerk every time I begin to dig! ANSWER: Your external valves' start levels are too low. Try increasing them a little in the Main Menu. |

QUESTION: I increased the feeder’s end levels but now the machine has begun to work quite heavy. ANSWER: The external end levels are probably to low and there's too much pressure. Try increasing the end levels for the external valves (Main Menu). |

QUESTION: I'm installing your system on an excavator, but the feeder doesn’t work with the rollers. I've tried increasing the end levels on the feeder, but nothings happening. And I don't get any error codes. ANSWER: It sounds like you need a feeder for higher pressures. Call SVAB for more information or for ordering. |

QUESTION: The rotor ”coughs” during slow operation. ANSWER: Try lowering the setting ”Ripple amplitude” from 45 to 20. |

QUESTION: Rotor/tilt works fine when used alone, but together they both go faster and the machine sounds strained. ANSWER: The feeder's start levels are too low. Set them so that the rotor just begins to move and at the value choosen by the feeder. This will also minimize the extra play in the rollers for rotor/tilt and you won't need to wait so long for them to begin to move. |

QUESTION: The rotor stops abruptly when I release the roller. ANSWER: Check the pressure in the rotor/tilt, it should not be higher than 230 bar. |
